Treasure Island Motorcyclist Killed in St. Petersburg Crash, Passenger Seriously Injured
St. Petersburg Police continue to investigate a fatal motorcycle crash.
The crash occurred on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at approximately 11p.m.
A 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by 63 year-old Michael Edward Hughes of Treasure Island, was southbound in the 400 block of Park Street S.
He lost control at a curve and struck a guardrail.
His passenger, 54 year-old Deanna Dora McDorman of Treasure Island, was ejected from the motorcycle and landed in the grass. Hughes came to rest in the roadway.
McDorman was transported to Bayfront Health St Petersburg in serious condition.
Hughes was transported to Palms of Pasadena Hospital where he was pronounced deceased upon arrival.
