Troopers investigate pedestrian death on US-19 in Pinellas Park

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal crash the occurred on Friday, December 1, 2023 at approximately 9:05 p.m.

A 33-year-old Clearwater man was driving a GMC C5500 single-unit truck northbound on US-19.

Just north of 62^nd Avenue North, a 68-year-old St. Petersburg resident attempted to walk across the highway, entered the path of and was struck by the truck.

The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
