Two Found Dead at St. Petersburg Apartment Complex In Apparent Murder-Suicide
Investigators from the St. Petersburg Police Dapartment (SPPD) are investigating after two people were found dead at the The Vibe at Gateway apartment complex, 503 77th Avenue North, #204.
The man has been identified as 37 year-old Justin Page and the woman 30 year-old Ashley Chiello.
At 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2018, a friend asked police to do a “check welfare” on Mr. Page who lives in the apartment because he had not been in touch for a couple of days.
When police arrived, they found the bodies of the Page and Chiello who resided there.
The cause of death is still under investigation by the medical examiner but the preliminary investigation findings are that Ashley Chiello died of blunt trauma. Detectives believe Justin Page killed Chiello, then took his own life.
Chillo and Page were in a domestic relationship according to police.
Police say there was no sign of forced entry.
