Uber Passenger Died With After a Fight with His Driver Over the Chosen Route in St Petersburg

56 year-old Terry Lynn Kimball has died from his injuries. St. Petersburg Police say no update on the investigation or charges at this time

On Thursday, August 10, 2017 at about 7:30 p.m., 37 year-old Uber driver, Kabir O’Farril Diaz, picked up a passenger.

The passenger, 56 year-old Terry Lynn Kimball, had a dispute with Diaz over the route he was taking.

The driver pulled over to the Quick Pick Foods store, 800 58th St. N., and they had a physical altercation.

The driver punched Kimball, and Kimball did not regain consciousness. Kimball is hospitalized with serious brain trauma.

His injuries are considered life threatening. Investigators are speaking with witnesses and Diaz is cooperating.

Although he has not been charged at this time, this is still an ongoing investigation according to police.
