US-19 Interchange Project at Gandy Blvd to Cause Ramp Closure Sunday Evening

Beginning at 9 p.m. Sunday, April 30, through 6 a.m. Monday, May 1, the westbound Gandy Boulevard exit ramp to US-19 and the US-19 ramps to Gandy Boulevard will close nightly, weather permitting. These closures are necessary for crews to perform work associated with the US 19 interchange improvements at the Gandy Boulevard project in Pinellas County. Construction activities are expected to finish in the fall of 2023.

Westbound Gandy Boulevard ramp to US 19 detour:
During this closure, motorists needing to access northbound US 19 will be directed to take 35th Street North and 76th Terrace North. Motorists needing to access southbound US 19 will be detoured around the work zone using 34th Street North and 70th Avenue North.

US 19 ramp to Gandy Boulevard detour:
US 19 motorists needing to access eastbound Gandy Boulevard will travel around the work zone using 70th Avenue North and 34th Street North.

Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will assist motorists traveling through the area. Motorists should expect delays and congestion during these detours.
