Westbound Roosevelt Boulevard (SR 686) to close nightly for the next two weeks, beginning on Sunday, August 7 from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting.
To access Roosevelt Boulevard, motorists traveling west on Ulmerton Road will continue straight towards 49th Street, then turn north to Roosevelt Boulevard.
Motorists already traveling west on Roosevelt Boulevard or exiting the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport will make a U-turn at Terminal Boulevard then proceed towards westbound Ulmerton Road. After accessing Ulmerton Road, motorists will continue straight towards 49th Street, then turn north to Roosevelt Boulevard.
Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will assist motorists traveling through this area.
This temporary detour is necessary for crews to perform overhead bridge work associated with the Gateway Expressway project.
