Woman’s body pulled from the water at St. Petersburg marina

Crews from the St. Petersburg Police Department and St. Petersburg Fire Rescue responded to reports of a body in the water at a St. Petersburg marina.

The call for service came in on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at approximately 8:30 a.m. at the Suntex Marina located at 5821 32nd Way S in St. Petersburg.

Fire rescue crews retrieved the body from the water. Officers learned she was a woman in her 50’s, from Orlando, staying on a boat with relatives.

She was last seen on the boat last night until discovered in the water this morning.

The preliminary investigation does not suggest foul play, however the medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
