Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a crash involving a wrong-way driver on US-19 in Clearwater.
The crash occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, in
the southbound lanes of U.S. 19 near Druid Road.
Investigators say that the crash occurred when a northbound car, traveling in the wrong lanes, crashed into another car. A third vehicle also was involved after the initial impact.
The two drivers, one teen, and one adult male, involved in the initial crash were taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg to treat their injuries, which were not considered life-threatening.
The investigation into the crash continues, and charges are pending.
