ST. PETERSBURG — Police are investigating a shooting that left a young man injured late Sunday night in south St. Petersburg.
Just before midnight, officers responded to the 2800 block of Emerson Avenue South following reports of a person who had been shot.
When officers arrived, they located a young man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital for treatment.
According to police, the victim is currently listed in stable condition.
Investigators have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including a possible suspect or motive.
