Truck Fire Stalls Traffic on Starkey Road in Seminole

At approximately 12:45 PM on Friday, October 2, 2015, units were dispatched to reports of a vehicle fire. The truck fire was located north of the intersection of Starkey Road and 86th Avenue in Seminole.
Units from Seminole Fire Rescue Department arrived on scene to extinguish the fire. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office was requested to respond to block all southbound lanes of traffic on Starkey Road.
The road closure lasted about 20 minutes. No information is available on the cause of the fire and no injuries were reported.
