Pinellas Deputy and Two Others Injured in Crash

Deputies assigned to the Major Accident Investigation Team are investigating a crash involving a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) Deputy.
According to PCSO, the crash occurred at about 6:41 PM on Thursday, October 8, 2015 on 54th Avenue near 62nd Street in Kenneth City.
According to investigators, Deputy Lance Chambers was traveling west on 54th Avenue approaching 62nd Street in a Chevy Tahoe. The driver of a 2004 Nissan Sentra, David Speegle of Pinellas Park, was was traveling east on 54th Avenue and was in the left turn lane to turn north on 62nd Street.
The press release states that as the deputy entered the intersection, the Nissan made the left turn striking the front driver’s side door of the Tahoe.
Deputy Chambers was transported by ambulance to Bayfront Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
David Speegle and his passenger Cheryl Speegle were also transported by ambulance to Bayfront Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
