Largo District Chief vehicle involved in crash while responding to another scene
A District Chief with Largo Fire Rescue was injured when a vehicle T-boned the DC38 vehicle at the intersection of Ulmerton Road and 113th Street. Â It occurred Wednesday evening a few minutes before 7pm. Â DC38 was responding to a call for a Structure Fire a couple miles to the south of the crash location.
The District Chief was a passenger in the vehicle and needed to be extricated from the vehicle. Â The vehicle was severely damaged by both the impact and the extrication process. Â The female driver of the other vehicle did not appear to be injured. Â The District Chief was transported by ground to Bayfront Medical Center for further evaluation via Sunstar. Â His injuries not did appear to be serious at the time.
Largo Fire Rescue was assisted by units from Seminole Fire Rescue, Sunstar, Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and Largo Police Department.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by Largo Police Department.
