Firefighters Extinguish Minivan Fire in Tampa, Occupant Injured

At approximately 12:40 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2019, Tampa Fire Rescue responded to a reported car fire at the intersection of North Florida and West Waters Avenue.

When firefighters arrived, they found the minivan fully involved and began fighting the fire with a foam mixture and quickly had the fire out.

One patient who was an occupant of the van was transported to Tampa General Hospital as a trauma alert.

Investigators from the fire marshal’s office are on scene to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
