Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) are currently investigating a crash that left two motorcyclists seriously injured. The crash occurred about 11:15 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2020.
According to investigators, the two motorcyclists were traveling southbound on 49th Street N approaching Roosevelt Boulevard in the inside and inside center lanes respectively. An unknown vehicle changed lanes into the path of the two motorcyclists resulting in both riders taking evasive action.
Both riders lost control and crashed along the inside shoulder of the roadway. They were transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with serious injuries.
The helmeted motorcyclists are only being listed as a 34 year-old male from Brandon and a 28 year-old male from Tampa.
