Man shot and killed outside St. Petersburg beer and wine store

Detectives continue to investigate a fatal shooting that occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2020.

The fatal shooting happened at the Quick Stop Beer and Wine store, located at 1440 49th Street S.

Investigators say that there was a large crowd gathered there when the shots were fired.

Two men were injured and transported to the hospital.

Dameion Cookinson, age 34, died at the hospital and the other victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition.
