Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) continue to investigate a fatality injury crash on McMullen Booth Road.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:35 a.m. on Friday, July 23, 2021 on McMullen Booth Road near Curlew Road.
Troopers say a 21 year-old Tampa woman was traveling southbound on McMullen Booth Road in a sedan, south of Tampa Road.
A second vehicle, an SUV, operated by a 79 year-old female from Clearwater, was traveling northbound on McMullen Booth Road.
Troopers say that the southbound vehicle crossed over the raised center median and collided nearly head-on with the SUV
The 21 year-old driver was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
The 79 year-old driver and her 84 year-old male passenger were both transported to a trauma center with critical injuries.
The 84 year-old passenger was transported via AirLife helicopter to the hospital where he died of his injuries.
