On September 15, 2022, Pinellas Park city officials were notified of the arrest of a city employee, 50 year-old Brian Streeter. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested Streeter for felony offenses that included but were not limited to Human Trafficking for Commercial Sexual Activity (Victim under 18).
City officials communicated with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office investigators throughout the afternoon. Shortly after Mr. Streeter was processed into the Hillsborough County Jail, he was notified in person that his employment with the City of Pinellas Park was terminated immediately.
The City of Pinellas Park has employed Streeter since 2003, his most recent assignment was as a Fire Lieutenant.
On September 12, 2022, Human Trafficking Squad detectives began an undercover operation within parts of Hillsborough County. Their goal was to identify individuals that exploit children for commercial sexual acts.
On September 15, 2022, Streeter was arrested after he arranged to meet with who he believed was a 14-year-old female to have sexual intercourse for $60.
“While these men may be trying to hide their disgusting live choices in the shadows of our community, our detectives are the beacon of light,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Our detectives will continue to track down anyone participating in this vile behavior and make sure they are held accountable.”
“I am extremely disheartened to learn of the reprehensible acts that are alleged to have been committed by Mr. Streeter. He took an oath to serve our community and betrayed that oath and the trust placed in him as a public servant and a leader in our fire department,” said City Manager Bart Diebold. “Due to the seriousness of the allegations against him, I have terminated his employment. The justice system will now decide the fate of Mr. Streeter. I want to make one thing clear. He does not represent the hard work and dedication our fire department and other city employees provide to the community we serve. We will all work hard to regain the trust from our community that Mr. Streeter stole from us.”
