February 1, 2014
Units from Seminole Fire Rescue were dispatched to reports of a vehicle crash this evening shortly before 10:30pm. The incident was near the intersection of Starkey Road and Fairweather Drive.
Three vehicles were involved in the incident. One vehicle was parked and unoccupied at the time of the crash. Another vehicle was heavily damaged resulting in three occupants being transported to the hospital. The last vehicle, a Ford F150, was left upside-down far down the roadway from the original crash scene.
Arriving fire crews worked in an attempt to locate the driver of the pickup truck fearing a possible ejection. Witnesses stated that the vehicle rolled over many times before coming to rest. Crews walked up and down the nearby canal looking for the driver of the vehicle. A K-9 Deputy arrived in an attempt to seek the drivers location. It is assumed that the driver fled the scene.
The Florida Highway Patrol arrived on-scene and will be investigating the incident.
