Bradenton Motorcyclist Killed in Overnight Crash on US 19 in Manatee County

A 57-year-old Bradenton man was killed in a motorcycle crash early Sunday morning in Manatee County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at approximately 12:00 a.m. on April 19, 2026, along US 19 just west of Hightower Road.

Investigators say the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound in the left lane when he lost control of the motorcycle. The vehicle entered the shoulder and overturned, ejecting the rider. The man came to rest in the eastbound left lane of US 19.

An SUV, driven by a 39-year-old St. Petersburg man, was also traveling eastbound and struck the motorcyclist as he lay in the roadway.

The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. The SUV driver was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
