Two Arrested in Connection with Local MetroPCS Armed Robberies

Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office have arrested two suspects for an armed robbery that occurred at a Metro PCS store in Largo at about 6:45PM Friday evening. The store is located at 11881 Seminole Boulevard in Largo.
According to detectives, 56-year-old Bernard Woods entered the store. The suspect produced a handgun and demanded money. He then left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect left the store in a white Chevy Malibu along with 19 year-old Joshua JnMarie.
The vehicle was spotted by patrol deputies in the area of Ulmerton and Seminole Boulevard. The vehicle was stopped in the parking lot of the nearby Golden Corral restaurant and both suspects were taken into custody.
Detectives are currently interviewing the suspects and additional charges are forthcoming.
At least 4 other robberies have occurred at Metro PCS stores in Pinellas County since Saturday, August 30, 2014.
The first occurred at the Metro PCS located at 1363 Main Street in Dunedin.
The second armed robbery occurred at the Metro PCS located at 7700 US 19 North in Pinellas Park.
The third armed robbery occurred at 6581 102nd Avenue in Pinellas Park.
The fourth armed robbery occurred at 3665 East Bay Drive in unincorporated Largo.
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s office worked along with the Pinellas Park Police Department to end these robberies with no injuries to the victims. The descriptions of the suspects and the getaway vehicle matched those in the other MetroPCS robberies.
