Bicyclist killed in crash along Starkey Road in Largo

Officers from the Largo Police Department are investigating a crash that killed a bicyclist. The crash occurred at approximately 5:56 a.m. on Monday, May 10, 2021.

Officers responded to the area of northbound Starkey Road south of East Bay Dr in reference to a
vehicle versus bicyclist accident. Largo Fire Rescue arrived onscene and pronounced the adult male bicyclist as deceased.

The Largo Police Departments Traffic Homicide Unit responded and is actively conducting the investigation.

The vehicle involved stayed onscene and alcohol was not a factor. Investigators say that the bicycle did not have any rear lights.
