Bradenton Motorcyclist Killed When He Hits Towed Boat in Hillsborough County

Frederick E. Grayson, age 55 of Bradenton, Florida was killed in a crash at US-41 / Old US-41A in Hillsborough County.

The crash occurred at 11:10 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017.

According to Troopers, Grayson was traveling northbound on US-41 south of Old US-41A on a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle.

A 67 year-old Lakeland man was driving a 2017 F-150 and towing a boat.  He was traveling northbound on US-41 in the left lane ahead of the motorcycle.

The driver of the F-150 slowed to make a U-Turn and Grayson failed to slow or stop.

He collided with the towed boat and was thrown from the motorcycle.  He died at the scene of the crash due to his extensive injuries.

Neither the driver nor the passenger in the F-150 were injured.

Grayson was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The investigation continues.
