Clearwater Police investigate a domestic related stabbing

Clearwater Police responded to the 1100 block of Palmetto Street for reports of a stabbing at approximately 10:17 a.m. on Monday, November 22, 2021.

The victim, 46 year-old Eric Townsend was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg as a trauma alert.

Police say that the incident appears to be domestic related and there is no threat to the community.

Townsend’s girlfriend, 30 year-old Brittany Williams has been charged with aggravated battery and was booked in to the Pinellas County Jail.

It has been almost 13 years since the inception of IONTB.
