Crews from Largo Fire Rescue, Largo Police Department and Sunstar Paramedics responded shortly before 7:30 PM Monday evening after receiving reports of a traffic crash at the intersection of Roosevelt Blvd and Dodge Street in Largo.

Arriving crews reported a Ford Explorer overturned resting on the driver’s side containing three occupants.  Additional crews were dispatched along with a request for a response by Bayflite to air transport one of the injured.

All three patients were reportedly transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg for further medical care.  There were no injuries reported in the other vehicle involved in the crash.

All lanes of traffic on Roosevelt Blvd were closed from Dodge Street to 62nd Street to prepare for the landing of Bayflite on the eastbound lanes of the roadway.  Westbound lanes reopened after Bayflite lifted but eastbound lanes remained closed during the investigation and removal of the vehicles.

Largo Police Department will investigate the factors surrounding the collision.
