Death Investigation Underway After Body Located in the Bay Near the Howard Frankland Bridge
St. Petersburg Police responded at about 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018 to the area of the Howard Frankland Bridge.
Police say they received a call from a fisherman who reported a possible body in the water near the Howard Frankland Bridge.
Authorities have confirmed the recovery of a body and a death investigation is underway at this time.
The deceased woman has been identified as 26 year-old Sheila Capone.
Due to the condition of the body, further details concerning the manner of death will come from the medical examiner.
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is assisting at the scene with the investigation.
