TAMPA — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double stabbing that occurred early Wednesday morning at an apartment complex in Tampa.
According to investigators, at approximately 4:26 a.m. on June 3, 2026, HCSO’s 911 Dispatch Center received a call from a man reporting that he and another individual had been stabbed at an apartment complex located on North 46th Street.
Deputies and emergency crews responded to the scene and located both victims suffering from stab wounds. Authorities said both individuals were transported for medical treatment and are currently listed in stable condition.
Investigators have identified and accounted for all individuals involved in the incident. The circumstances leading up to the stabbing have not yet been released.
In addition to the stabbing investigation, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a separate death investigation at 3600 East Fletcher Avenue in Tampa.
At this time, detectives believe the stabbing suspect is the deceased individual involved in the death investigation.
The next-of-kin notification is still pending. The name of the deceased will be released once notification has been made.
The Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the suspect and one of the victims are students at the University of South Florida.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
