A residential structure fire in St. Petersburg sent one person to the hospital on Wednesday morning.
Shortly after 7:00 a.m. on June 3, 2026, St. Petersburg Fire Rescue responded to a reported house fire near 18th Avenue South and 22nd Street South.
When crews arrived, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the residence. Firefighters immediately began fire suppression operations while also working to ensure all occupants safely evacuated the home.
One person was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.
According to St. Petersburg Fire Rescue, crews quickly brought the fire under control, preventing the blaze from spreading and limiting damage to nearby properties.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
