Elderly woman collides with Palm Harbor home

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is currently investigating after a 95 year-old female driver struck a home in Palm Harbor.

Troopers say 95 year-old Lillian Sawyer of Palm Harbor was traveling eastbound in the driveway of 3903 Lake Shore Drive. While trying to retrieve passengers from the residence, she accelerated her 2006 Toyota Camry into the garage door of the home. The vehicle also collided with load bearing walls.

Saywer suffered minor injuries and was transported to Mease Countryside hospital.
