Pinellas Park Police responded to a report of a person shot at the Walmart Neighborhood Market at 6900 US Hwy 19 N.
The incident took place at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 15, 2019.
Employees at the store are reporting that a fellow employee was shot behind the store.
The victim, identified as 21 year-old Terrell Williams, was transported to Bayfront St. Petersburg with life-threatening injuries. He was shot several times.
Police provided an update a few hours after the shooting and announced Williams died from his injuries.
They say Williams was on his break from his employment at the store and was standing or sitting behind the business when a white sedan drove to where the man was located.
Two black male subjects exited the car and shot him multiple times prior to fleeing in the same vehicle.
Detectives are on scene investigating. They are asking for anyone that may have been in the area this morning that saw or heard something to let them know.

Police say that at this point in the investigation they do not believe this to be a random act and are investigating this as a targeted attack on Williams.
