At approximately 12:52 PM on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 , crews from Seminole Fire Rescue were in the area when two vehicles collided.  The crash occurred on Starkey Road just to the south of Bryan Dairy Rd in the northbound lanes.

The initial crews, from the City of Seminole Engine 30, called for additional units after it was determined that the occupant would need to be extricated from the vehicle. Additional units from Seminole along with Sunstar Paramedics, Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) responded to assist.

A male occupant in the pickup truck was removed from the vehicle and transported to Bayfront Hospital.  His injuries did not appear life-threatening.  FHP remained on scene to conduct an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

All northbound lanes were closed during the extrication operation which lasted about 35 minutes.
