Gulfport Police make arrest following armed robbery at Dollar General Store

Gulfport Police make arrest following an armed robbery at the Dollar General located at 4900 17th Ave S. The incident occurred on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at 7:32 p.m.

The suspect, 33 year-old Timothy Sullivan, obtained an undisclosed amount of cash from the clerk at the cash register and fled on a bike.

Early the following morning, on Sunday at 4:54 a.m., a suspect attempted to rob a convenience store in St Petersburg and was arrested. He was wearing the same clothing as the suspect in the Dollar General store and was in possession of a firearm that matched the description of the firearm used in the Gulfport robbery.

Gulfport Police charged the suspect with armed robbery.

Additional charges are pending.
