Homicide investigation after shooting death in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg police are investigating the shooting death of a male in his 40s. He was located with gunshot wounds in an alleyway behind the 4500 block of 22nd Avenue South.

Police were called to respond at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2023.

He was transported to Bayfront Health-St. Petersburg where he died from his injuries.
