Suspect dead by suicide one day after attempting to rob a Pinellas Park Bank

On March 3, 2023, at approximately 1 p.m., the Pinellas Park Police Department responded to the Truist Bank located at 7694 49th St N for a reported bank robbery.

Based on the initial information released, it was learned a white male approached a bank teller and passed a note requesting money.

The unknown male subject implied he had a weapon, but no weapon was displayed during the robbery. Ultimately, bank staff refused to provide any funds, and the male subject left the bank without incident.

Various law enforcement resources were utilized to attempt to locate the suspect.

The suspect was described as a white male in his 50s wearing a white shirt and shorts, black shoes, and a tan baseball cap with reader-style glasses.

On March 4, 2023, the Largo Police Department investigated a suicide. It was later determined that the deceased was also the suspect in the attempted bank robbery.

The deceased has been identified as Chris Fabrizio, a 56-year-old male.

This case has been closed, and there will be no further information regarding
this incident.
