Pinellas County Schools

Pinellas County Schools is working closely with Pinellas County Emergency Management to monitor the impact of the tropical system in the southern Gulf of Mexico on our region. Schools and offices will be open on Tuesday, September 24 for normal operations and school-related activities.

Pinellas County Schools will continue to collaborate with Pinellas County Emergency Management and provide an update to stakeholders by 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 24.

Sandbags

Unincorporated Pinellas County: John Chesnut Park, 2200 East Lake Road S., Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 7 a.m. to noon. Note: John Chesnut Park will otherwise be closed to the public during sandbag operation hours. Sandbags are limited to 10 per household. Residents are encouraged to bring shovels.


Pinellas and City of Clearwater: Joe DiMaggio Sports Complex, 2450 Drew Street, Clearwater; sunrise to sunset on Tuesday and 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday. Unincorporated Pinellas and City of Clearwater residents only. Residents are encouraged to bring their own shovel.
