A Lakewood High student was arrested on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 after being found in possession with a pellet gun on campus.
Lakewood High School is located at 1400 54th Ave S in St. Petersburg.
Officers arrested 18 year-old Rodarius Green after a photo on social media of Green holding a weapon was brought to the attention of a teacher. Â The teacher immediately contacted the School Resource Officer on campus.
Officers located Green before he boarded the bus to go home and subsequently found the pellet gun in his backpack.
Green is charged with possessing a weapon on school grounds which is felony.
An automated message was sent out by the school notifying parents about the incident.
