Largo road rage leaves one man stabbed in the neck, two arrested

Officers from the Largo Police Department and Largo Fire Rescue were dispatched to an stabbing incident.

The incident began shortly after 11 a m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. Investigators say a road rage incident began between two vehicles traveling along Roosevelt Boulevard. The victim, an adult male, continued to his destination at the Tropical Smoothie at 2695 Roosevelt Boulevard, Suite 6 and purchased a smoothie. When he exited the store, the victim finds the other half of the road rage incident prepared to confront him. A juvenile female began screaming at him and then spit on him.

The victim then dumped the smoothie on the juvenile female and she spits on him again. The other subject, 25 year old Andrew Armer, exited the vehicle and stabs the victim in the neck, causing a two-inch laceration on his neck.

The victim stumbled back into the business and collapsed at the front counter.

The subjects attempted to flee the area in a vehicle; however, two Largo Police Officers were across Roosevelt Boulevard and heard the disturbance. They were quickly able to stop the subject’s vehicle, detain all subjects and back-up officers began to administer first aid to the victim.

The victim was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg where he is in stable condition.

Armer is facing charges of Aggravated Battery and the juvenile female, charges of Simple Battery.
