Local Charity Helping Victims of Domestic Violence

DV-Awareness-Month1Local Charity Helping Victims of Domestic Violence

October 12, 2014

A local charity, Purses & Love, Inc, assists some of our local domestic violence shelters.  It has and will continue to provide victims and their children with items upon arrival to a shelter. Many of them show up empty-handed to shelters to escape the abuse.

I sat down with Dawn Fountain, President of Purses & Love, Inc, and discussed her personal horrific experience of daily abuse for nearly 6 years.  It is a story that I will be sharing with the readers of IONTB over the next couple of weeks.

IONTB will be supporting Dawn and her charity this month as its contribution to assist both in the awareness of domestic violence and assisting those in need.

Much more information will be forthcoming about Purses & Love, Inc and how you can assist.

Tomorrow evening (Monday, October 13, 2014), Dawn will be teaming up with the Chili’s at 5430 E Bay Drive in Largo.

Let Chili’s do the cooking while they support Purses & Love at the same time.  With each flier presented, Chili’s will donate 10% of the event sales back to this great charity.  See and print the flier below.

It has been almost 8 years since the inception of IONTB. Our operating expenses are not huge by any stretch of imagination but funds are necessary for our continued survival.  We are asking for a one time contribution or contribution on a monthly basis to help continue IONTB to flourish and enhance the coverage of news in the Tampa Bay area. Think of it as just giving up just a couple of your favorite coffee drinks each month.
