Man Suffers Life Threatening Injuries during Attack (UPDATED 11/13/2013)

Through a concerted effort of all divisions of the Pinellas Park Police Department on November 12, 2013 they learned of the location of a possible suspect in this attack.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Section located and interviewed the suspect and after a short period of time secured a confession from the suspect.

The suspect was identified as Eliezer Garcia, 24 who resides in the complex.

PINELLAS PARK – On April 15, 2013, at approximately 11:30 am, officers responded to Lauren Manor Apartments, 7450 35th St N, regarding a person injured during a battery.

A preliminary investigation has determined that a 63 year old male victim was working outside of an apartment near building eight when an unknown suspect struck him in the head with a blunt object. The suspect fled the scene and their identity is not known at this time.

The victim was transported to Bayfront Medical Center as a trauma alert and is currently listed in critical condition with life threatening injuries.
