Clearwater — A 20-year-old Clearwater man died following a crash Monday, February 16, 2026 on South Highland Avenue.
The crash occurred at approximately 3:20 p.m. Investigators said the man was operating a Suzuki motorcycle northbound on South Highland Avenue at a high speed while passing several vehicles.
Near Citrus Street, the motorcycle overtook and collided with a Nissan Rogue driven by a 61-year-old Clearwater woman.
The motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital, where he later died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The driver of the Nissan suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
A 64-year-old Clearwater man who was a passenger in the Nissan also sustained minor injuries and was transported for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation.
