Motorcyclist killed in crash on Ulmerton Road

The Largo Police Department Traffic Homicide Unit is currently investigating a crash that killed a 19 year-old male motorcyclist on Ulmerton Road.

On Monday, June 13, 2022, at approximately 12:50 p.m., Largo Police and crews from Largo Fire Rescue were dispatched to the 7300 block of Ulmerton Rd for a traffic crash involving an SUV and a motorcycle.

The initial investigation has yielded information that the SUV was attempting to make a U-turn when the motorcyclist struck the passenger side of the SUV.

The initial information indicates that the motorcycle’s speed played a role in the crash.

The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

The driver of the SUV had no reported injuries and alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
