Multiple injuries in extrication crash at Ulmerton and Ridge Road
Units from Largo Fire Rescue and Sunstar Ambulance were dispatched to a traffic crash about 2:56pm today. The crash occurred in the intersection of Ulmerton Road and Ridge Road blocking all southbound lanes. Sunstar was first to arrive on scene and evaluated the patients followed shortly thereafter by Largo Fire Rescue Station 39 personnel. Upon arrival it was determined that an extrication would be required to safely remove those injured from one of the vehicles. Additional units from Largo Fire Rescue were dispatched along with a total of three Sunstar Units and Largo Police Department.
The injured were transported to local hospitals for further medical treatment. Largo Police Department will continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
