Odessa Man Killed After Motorcycle Crash on I-75; Second Rider Seriously Injured

A 42-year-old Odessa man died after being struck by a car following a motorcycle crash on northbound Interstate 75 near milepost 266 at approximately 1:20 a.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

Two Harley-Davidson motorcycles collided and overturned in the highway’s travel lanes. Both riders, the Odessa man and a 49-year-old Spring Hill man, suffered serious injuries and were lying in the roadway.

A 28-year-old Mulberry woman driving a Chevrolet Cruze stopped to assist the motorcyclists, parking her vehicle in the inside emergency lane.

A Dodge Challenger driven by a 22-year-old Wesley Chapel woman then struck the Odessa man as he lay in the roadway, causing fatal injuries. The Challenger subsequently left the travel lanes and struck the unoccupied Chevrolet Cruze.

The Spring Hill motorcyclist suffered serious injuries. No additional information about the drivers’ conditions or potential charges was provided.
