Officers from the Pinellas Park Police Department responded to reports of a head-on collision at approximately 7:39 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2023.
The crash occurred in the southbound lanes in the 8600 block of US-19 just north of Gateway Centre Boulevard in Pinellas Park.
Traffic Homicide Investigators determined a white Nissan Rogue was traveling northbound on US Highway 19 N.
For unknown reasons, the white Nissan Rogue crossed over the median into the southbound lanes, crashing head-on into a red Toyota RAV4. A gray Chrysler 200 was traveling behind the Toyota RAV4 and was also involved in the crash.
The driver of the Nissan Rogue, 25-year-old Roberto Rodriguez, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The passenger of the Toyota RAV4, 66-year-old Kim Nguyen, was transported to a Bayfront Health St. Petersburg where she was pronounced deceased.
The drivers of both the Toyota RAV4 and Chrysler 200 were transported to local hospitals with injuries.
