Posted: October 15, 2015 – 10PM

On Thursday, October 15, 2015 at approximately 1:15 PM, emergency responders responded to the area of I-275 and Roosevelt Blvd.

The wreckage and the body of 20 year-old Mason Storm Apple of Tampa was located by bridge inspectors conducting routine maintenance in the area.  According the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), Apple was traveling northbound on a 2007 Kawasaki motocycle on the I-275 entrance ramp overpass from 118th Avenue N during the overnight of hours of October 14-15th. He was negotiating a left curve at a speed too fast for conditions, lost control and traveled off the roadway and onto the east shoulder of the entrance ramp according to the crash investigator.  Once on the shoulder, he collided with the concrete barrier wall, overturned and fell from the ramp onto the shoulder of the roadway below.
