Pedestrian struck and killed attempting to walk across Alt 19 in Palm Harbor

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) are investigating a fatality crash involving a pedestrian in Palm Harbor.

The crash occurred at approximately 2 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2022.

According to troopers, a 34 year-old Palm Harbor woman was operating an SUV southbound on Alt 19, north of Brevard Street.

A 44 year-old male Palm Harbor resident was walking in or across the travel lanes of Alt 19 for an unknown reason.

The SUV collided with the pedestrian in the travel lanes and suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
