Pedestrian Struck and Killed Crossing US-19 North of Tampa Road

61 year-old Douglas Green of Palm Harbor was struck and killed attempting to cross US-19 in Palm Harbor Friday evening.

Green was walking eastbound across US-19 north of Tampa Road at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2017.

He was struck by a 2016 Chevy Pickup truck that was driven by a 38 year-old Palm Harbor man.  The Chevy was traveling southbound on US-19 in the outside lane, north of Tampa Road.

Green was transported to Mease Countryside Hospital where he died from his injuries.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.  No charges are pending according to Troopers.
