Deputies from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate after a body was found floating in a pond.
Firefighters and deputies were dispatched at approximately 8:25 a.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2019 to the Terrace Park of Five Towns condominiums. The condos are located at 6190 80th Street North, in unincorporated St. Petersburg.
A body was located floating about 15 feet from the shoreline.
Deputies assigned to the Marine Unit responded and retrieved the body from the water.
Deputies confirmed the body was that of 69-year-old Robert Mulvey of St. Petersburg. Mulvey, who lived at the Fire Towns condominiums, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators say the circumstances surrounding Mulvey’s death do not appear suspicious in nature.
The cause and manner of death will be determined pending the outcome of the Medical Examiner’s autopsy.
