Man Leaving Bar in Seminole Pulls in Front of Pinellas County Sheriff’s Deputy Responding to a Stabbing Call

A Deputy from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office was involved in a crash at approximately 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017.

According to investigators, Deputy E. Nestor was traveling southbound on Seminole Boulevard in a 2015 marked Chevrolet Tahoe, with her emergency lights and sirens activated, responding to a call for assistance.

John Clark of Largo arrested for DUI after crash with Deputy

A 2004 Oldmobile Bravada, operated by 69 -year-old John Clark of Largo, was traveling east after exiting as a patron from the Niagra Tap Bar & Grill located at 11950 Seminole Boulevard, Largo.

Deputies vehicle heavily damaged after rear-end collision

Investigators say Clark made a right hand turn to go southbound on Seminole Boulevard right into the path of Deputy E. Nestor’s 2015 marked Chevrolet Tahoe traveling southbound on Seminole Boulevard, with her emergency lights and sirens activated, causing the crash.

Clark was transported to Largo Medical Center Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Deputy E. Nestor was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Investigators say impairment does appear to be a factor in the investigation.

After Clark was treated and released from Largo Medical Center Hospital, he admitted to consuming alcohol prior to the crash.

His blood alcohol level (BRAC) was reported to be, .114 / .106. He was taken into custody and arrested for driving under the influence.
