35 year-old Jo Anna M Barker was arrested early Monday morning for DUI.
Barker was hired by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, on October 17, 2011. She worked as a detention corporal in the Department of Detention and Corrections.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, at about 1:45 a.m., on Monday, February 20, 2017, deputies were conducting traffic enforcement on Gulf Boulevard in North Redington Beach.
Deputies reported they observed a 2013 white Chevrolet sport utility vehicle traveling northbound on Gulf Boulevard at a high rate of speed. Deputies conducted a traffic stop at Coral Avenue and Gulf Boulevard for speeding, 67 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour speed zone.
Deputies made contact with Barker who identified herself as an off-duty Sheriff’s Office detention corporal.
