Pinellas Park Man Arrested for Child Pornography
On Friday, August 17,2018, Pinellas Park Police arrested 29 year-old Ameeyid Taiourane of Pinellas Park. Taiourane is facing three counts of possession of child pornography.
Detectives with the Pinellas Park Police Department executed a search warrant at 5540 98 Avenue North, in order to conduct a search for child pornography at the residence and to identify the possible suspect.
Taiourane was located inside the residence following the service of the search warrant, at which time investigators were also able to locate and recover child related pornographic images inside the residence.
Arrest documentation indicates that Taiourane admitted to having an addiction to child pornography and admitted to downloading torrent files. The content of these photos and videos included sex acts between adults and children described as approximately 6 to 7 years-old.
The investigation continues and additional similar charges are expected as Taiourane admitted that additional files would be located upon forensic examination of his electronic devices.
The Pinellas Park Police Department is an active law enforcement member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and as a result investigators received information about a subject at the listed location that was actively downloading child pornography.
Taiourane was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on $60,000 bond.
